Empowering Women in Veganic Gardening.

Vegan Village Society Uganda, with generous funding from the Vegan Organic Network (VON), has taken a crucial step in supporting women practicing veganic gardening by providing them with a much-needed water tank. This donation will help farmers sustain their vegetable gardens even during dry spells, ensuring continuous food production and improving livelihoods. The Vegan Organic Network has also supported fifty vegan women’s groups in Uganda with seeds and tools.

Access to water remains one of the biggest challenges for small-scale farmers, particularly for the 50 women’s groups that have benefited from VON’s support. While this water tank marks a significant milestone, the demand for more tanks is still pressing. Many of these dedicated women still rely on unpredictable rainfall and labor-intensive watering methods, limiting their productivity.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Vegan Organic Network for their unwavering support, which has not only provided a water tank but also supplied vegetable seeds, watering cans, and essential garden tools. Their commitment to empowering women in Uganda through sustainable, plant-based agriculture is truly transforming lives.

With continued support, we can expand this initiative to reach more women, provide additional water tanks, and create a resilient, food-secure future. We invite like-minded partners to join us in making this vision a reality.
