Why are we doing this?

  • Children are our future farmers, law makers, consumers, parents and guardians.
  • We believe it’s important to educate young people about the problems with our current food production system and how vegan organic (veganic) growing can address many of these problems.
  • We want future farming practices to respect the natural environment, protect animals, reverse wildlife decline and use the earth’s resources fairly.
  • We want to ensure we have a safe and reliable food–system for everyone, everywhere.

How will we do this?

  • We will work with schools to deliver a variety of educational opportunities to teach vegan organic growing.

Aims of this project

  • Establish a network of accredited educators to visit schools and provide classroom and hands-on teaching
  • Develop course content for the accredited educators to use when visiting schools
  • Identify vegan organic projects that will welcome school visits, e.g. gardens, farms, allotments
  • Create and recommend resources on planet friendly vegan organic growing, sustainability and plant-based diets for use in subjects across the curriculum
  • Form collaborative partnerships with like-minded organisations
