Review by Tamara Cooke

This book follows Alice in her journey to bring the worms (and fertility) back to the soil after contamination by pesticides. It explains the concepts of organic growing in easy to understand language and bright colourful pictures, and in doing so teaches young children about composting and mini beasts.

It ties in with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, would be an asset to any primary school library and a great teaching aid as well as a fun and interesting read. Perfect for children who are interested in gardening or growing food or who just like worm hunting and discovering the smallest inhabitants of the garden.
